Bambu Lab H2D y AMS 2 Pro - Precio y fecha de lanzamiento

Bambu Lab H2D and AMS 2 Pro - Price and Release Date

Bambu Lab H2D

(Updated March 2025)

It's official! The new large-format printer coming in 2025

An image posted on Reddit may have revealed a yet-to-be-announced 3D printer from Bambu Lab. The photo shows a new printer called the “Bambu Lab H2D Combo.”

As you can see, several important aspects can be seen in the image. First, we confirm the equipment's dual extrusion, with two clearly differentiated nozzles. We don't know what the competitive advantage of this equipment will be compared to others.

You can also see an emergency stop button, which, along with the greenish glass panels on the side and front door, indicates a possible accessory such as a laser head or similar.

At the top, we see a device that appears to be called " AMS HT ", an acronym for what could be High Temperature (are we finally looking at a heated AMS?)

A few hours ago, BambuLab announced this on its official Instagram account:

These details confirm the arrival of a new printer. The price and release date of the new BambuLab H2D are currently unknown. Stay tuned for this article, where we'll update the price and release date as soon as they're known.

In the image from the previous leak, where the equipment packaging could be seen, the dimensions of the H2D model were detailed: 492 x 514 x 626 mm. Compared to the external dimensions of the current Bambu Lab X1C model, this could suggest an approximate build volume of 350 x 350 x 420 mm . This size would be significantly larger than that of the X1C model, whose build volume is 256 x 256 x 256 mm.

The name "H2D" could refer to a dual-extrusion system, which uses two nozzles. In this system, one active nozzle would be lowered for printing while the inactive nozzle would remain raised, preventing interference. This technology would allow for more efficient material changes, also reducing the waste common during purge cycles.

AMS 2 Pro

Another highlight is the included “ AMS 2 Pro ” system, which appears to be designed for multi-material printing.

Compared to the previous AMS module, this new system could incorporate additional functions, such as material drying, a key feature for hygroscopic and high-temperature filaments. The combination of a larger build volume and support for high-temperature materials could position Bambu Lab as a direct competitor for industrial-grade devices.

Both are expected to be launched in 2025.

In October 2024, Bambu Lab announced it was delaying the launch of new 3D printers until early 2025. According to Dr. Tao, the company's CEO and co-founder, this decision is driven by the need to ensure a product that meets high quality standards.

We are developing a product that will redefine the boundaries of what is possible in consumer 3D printing. This additional time will allow us to deliver on this promise and launch a fully optimized and globally supported product ,” explained Dr. Tao.

At the moment, its price is unknown, but it seems logical to think that it will be higher than its predecessor, the X1C. At PRINTATONIC, we are really looking forward to seeing what the people at Bambu have in store for us in 2025, but they have certainly managed to position this printer - which has not yet been announced - as one of the most anticipated of the year!
